Eight finalists, including Usher Aviation Ltd from Sligo, were officially unveiled in Dublin today by the County and City Enterprise Boards for the annual National Enterprise Awards.
The award scheme for micro-enterprises, which takes place on Tuesday, November 10th in Dublin Castle, is organised to reward the outstanding achievements of small businesses in Ireland.
Now in its twelfth year, the full list of award finalists are: Danelle Recycling from Carlow (Tony Broderick), Gilmore Clarke Electrical from Cavan (Paul Clarke), D.S. Environmental Services from Donegal (Denis Sheridan), Oldtown Hill Bakehouse from Kilkenny (Joy Moore), Usher Aviation from Sligo (Barry Usher), Robotic Drive Services from Westmeath (Ken McNevin and Stephen Nolan) and finally Taoglas from Wexford (Dermot O’ Shea).
“All our finalists in this year’s National Enterprise Awards are to be congratulated for continuing to navigate successfully through the economic storm,” said Christine Charlton from the County and City Enterprise Boards. “Through diversifying, innovating and identifying new export markets, these finalists are leading the way for other small businesses to follow,” she added.
All of this year’s finalists have been supported by their local Enterprise Board; Usher Aviation Ltd has been supported by the Sligo County Enterprise Board.
