Sligo County Enterprise Board Launches SMACHT Programme

Sligo County Enterprise Board is inviting applicants for its SMACHT programme.

The SMACHT programme is a subsidised Enterprise Board programme being delivered by Padraig O'Maille of O'Maille Consulting. The programme will consist of:

  • eight monthly workshops
  • monthly telephone mentoring
  • supply folders
  • handouts
  • Access to tracking software

Participants Can Expect to Develop….

  • A sharpened sense of direction, purpose and focus.
  • A renewed enthusiasm for business, selling and life.
  • A reduced tendency to procrastinate and be indecisive.
  • An increased sense of achievement and realisation of their true potential.
  • Dramatically increased sales and profits

The structure of the programme is one half day workshop monthly over an eight month period with backup mentoring. The purpose of the workshops are fourfold:

  • To plan in detail clear and accountable actions for the forthcoming month.
  • To review progress from the past month and to absorb the appropriate learning's resulting.
  • To deliver one agreed content item per month.
  • To network proactively with other group members.

The content to be provided is:

  • Strategic Thinking, Planning and Working.
  • Wealth Management including financial management, management accounting and how to safely and profitably invest in the stock market.
  • Marketing Segmentation and how to promote a business on a small budget.
  • How to develop a customer focused business.
  • How to sell more consultatively, consistently and confidently.
  • How to recruit the right people, retain them and restructure the HR focus of the business.
  • How to make the most effective use of time in order to grow the business and have a life.
  • How to develop and sustain the mindset of a winner.

The programme will commence on 10th May. This programme is strictly limited to 12 participant businesses. Businesses must be established and trading for more than 2 years and registered in County Sligo. Businesses will be evaluated and selected with a view to their suitability for the programme. The programme is aimed a progressive small businesses operating in a challenging marketplace. The deadline for receipt of applications is Wednesday, 4th May, 2011. The subsidised cost is €200 per participant business.
