Verus Precision Ltd. was announced last week as the representative of Sligo County Enterprise Board in the National Enterprise Awards Competition. The National Enterprise Awards is a competition organised by the 35 County & City Enterprise Boards nationwide, and seeks to recognise and promote excellence in micro-business. Verus Precision Ltd. has since been short-listed as one of eight businesses to proceed to the final of the National Enterprise Awards, which is being held in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin, on November 11th next.
Operating from their base in the Business Innovation Centre, in the Institute of Technology, Sligo, Verus Precision Ltd. offers high-quality services to its clients in the areas of: metrology, calibration, product design and moldflow analysis. Verus Precision Ltd. was founded in 2008, but despite its relative youth currently has 5 full-time staff members, and is currently recruiting 1 additional full-time staff member. The Company has had a close working relationship with Sligo County Enterprise Board since inception, availing of both financial and technical assistance from the Board. Verus Precision Ltd. has rapidly gained a reputation for quality in the business world, and counts market-leading Companies in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America in their burgeoning client base. Recent developments in the product design field at the Company include securing approval from Apple for the “made for iPod, made for iPad and made for iPhone” technology licence which allows Verus Precision Ltd. to design and develop products and services for these Apple products; and to use the Apple “made for iPod/iPad/iPhone” logos on these products.
